I'm not a marine biologists had they said 'it emits awful smell to deter shark' instead, I would have believed it.
To bad, they claim to use magical electrical science.

Well, sharks, among other fish, are indeed electro sensitive.
I remember that some yeas ago there was a video that a submarine filmed. It showed a shark nibbling on an undersea cable  >:D
Apparently they had an issue with their cables and wanted to investigate, and they were very surprised to see sharks causing the damage.

Though i have no idea how just strapping a magnet to your wrist will really help. I just have to hope they are under close scrutiny, considering that this is potentially very harmful.

So, yes, this smells as a BS product at first.
However, magnets do seem to work as shark repellant, if strong enough. Unfortunately it's not a 100% repellant, it's rather a nuisance for the shark. Depending on hunger, it will eventually fail.
