Solar bench

Hi all,
a few days ago I was on holiday in Istria (Croatia) and found myself tired and with the mobile phone battery flat.
Luckily I saw the solution to all my problems: a solar bench where I could rest a bit and recharge my mobile phone!

I don't get the fad of mounting solar panels horizontally in places they will be covered or worn. It is solar freakin roads all over again.

AIUI, there isn't that much different between horizontal and tilted. The main problem is without the tilt 'stuff' doesn't roll or wash off but just accumulates.

What about those slanted anti-homeless bench seats?  Some of them even have spikes.

We need a slanted solar spike-bestudded bench seat to charge our phones in our busy everyday lives.

Charging your phone on an outdoor bench whilst your time is limited does not make sense, because when you are busy you don't have the time to sit and wait until your phone is charged again

They could have put the solar panel on legs above the bench - then the panel would serve as a shade umbrella.

Having them up on poles is a good idea but like I said on that thread in the dome shape you are only gonna get one to two panels at an optimal angle at a time (and the piezoelectric flags/leaves would produce microwatts each so without thousands of them you would get nothing out of them) and each wouldn't produce even enough power to charge one car, let alone four like the renders show.

Now if you only wanted to charge a phone from the solar tree then it would be easy mode, 5-15 watts is much easier than the 1300-10000 watts you need to charge a car.

Maybe we could bio-Engineer HUMANs to be, 8 inches tall, with commensurate huge reduction in food / energy needs...Tall buildings would be, like 200 feet high...
   THEN, those piezo-chargers would be great.
