No wireless charger that I've owned has been that good, and the device had to placed directly on top of the transmitter, a trickle charge at best and the device gets stupidly hot in the bargain. Threw them in the bin and used a standard charger and lead, not a problem.

The current wireless chargers are inductive. You've got a transformer secondary in your phone and the primary is in the table. Those work pretty well TBH but the usable range is just over an inch. They claim 5m with this one  :-DD

(and no I don't use one - efficiency is only 75% on a good day!)

On another forum I was attended to a so called "ground box".
It is a wooden box with some copper strips in it and filled with different stones. It should help to ground your audio set, esp. when you live in a skyscraper or high appartment far removed from the earth ground level  :)
They sell for thousands of $'s and to me it smells like snake oil.
Whats your opinion  :bullshit: or  :-/O  ?

That's a con for sure. It's the same as the old portable earth:

A lot of people think that all you need for something to work is to believe it does which is wrong.

I wonder what the magic crystals are claimed to do.
They claim they work as an advanced filter for the earth ground wire absorbing all noises from and into the audioset. You know audiophiles think in noise and earth is the holy grail of getting rid of these noises  :)
They claim the result is so significant that an ab test is not needed.

Cerebus doesn't know whether to join in with the bad jokes or whether to get the custard pie cannon.
Anybody got a syringe I can use to squeeze the magic smoke back into this?

There's zero chance of a Dwagon flying over London without having either a F35 or Typhoon zapping it's arse [emoji1787][emoji1787]

That's a classic example of what the [Obscure joke:] tag was invented for. Everybody but thee, me, and bd139 are now scratching their heads. Anyway, not much chance of an F35 chasing anything, they'd have to get the keys from America, the engine back from Turkey...

And a laptop to refuel it before it's ready to fly then they have to wake the pilot up.

I don't think that a 1930's small airliner is any match for a fire breathing Dwagon no matter how Rapide it is. Obscure enough?

I got emails some week ago from that Acronis about machine learning and Blockchain "technology" trying to entice me into purchasing online storage from them.

I think their imaging software is snake oil as it won't extract directly as promised on email that it would do if I paid to unlock he features for it which I did and it needs all sorts of messing about, building a LIVECD with sata drivers for every host, copy image to USB hard drive etc, and others can do it with no problem.

Odd because the one piece of modern commercial imaging software I've found worked *really* well was Acronis, maybe it's gone down the tubes...

Mind you, I tend to try and avoid software houses that use blockchain as marketing wank

My new Kickstarter idea is for an IoT-connected self-filling water bottle, that uses biomimicry to sequester water pustules from super-saturated desert air with alternating nanotechnological hydrophilic and hydrophobic graphene layers on a pure copper substrate. Blockchain technology is used to assign H2O offset credits per use. Supporters will receive a personalized e-mail saying thanks for the money. Am I on the right track?
