I'm struggling to think of a scenario where the ability to detect "Ultrasound Vaginal" would be useful. I may have to google it.

When you see a happily pregnant parent dreamily looking at a photograph of a small dot, that's vaginal ultrasound.

I think that would be you. I've seen women stare at those spot photographs for hours. How can such a featureless picture have such a profound effect on people?

I was looking for geiger counters in Australia and came across this:

Quote
This kit is not intended for DIAGNOSIS or TREATMENT and is NOT a home testing kits. It is intended for practitioners such as Kinesiologists, Bioresonance practitioners (Bicom, Vega, etc.), Chiropractors or anyone trained in muscle testing.
This is snake oil of the truly old-school variety. They are talking about the sham "doctors" who have you hold a sealed bottle of [...something...] in your hand while pushing down on your arm. They pretend to tell you whether it is "good" or "bad" for you depending on whether you can hold your arm up against their weight. Of course it does not tell anything, it is purely a sham test.

By US law, a disclaimer is required on products that have not been tested by the FDA:  https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cdrh/cfdocs/cfcfr/CFRSearch.cfm?fr=101.93
Specifically, the following text is required by statute:

(c) Text for disclaimer.
(1) Where there is one statement, the disclaimer shall be placed in accordance with paragraph (d) of this section and shall state:
This statement has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

I wish that there were a further requirement on television advertisements such that that disclaimer must be in the same size (or larger) letters as the contact information (telephone number, website, etc.).
For print advertisement, there is a specification for minimum text height (1/16").

We have a local shop that sells a bunch of snake oil products. Some of them claim to:
  • steam distill water into pure hydrogen and oxygen.
  • 7.83hZ charged jewelry.
  • A juicer with magnetic and bio-ceramics for extra fresh juice.
  • An IR sauna with low EMF
  • A chair that eliminates gravitational stress.

Ad attached.

They put an "l" in the word "Weath" to make it more convincing.  ::)

I've seen that idea more from people like psychologists, who posit how much of a very old rich person's wealth they would swap for being young and fit again.

Sodium-Ion Batteries :-/O

Is this really going to be the next generation of power cell technology? A post lithium chemistry that can deliver a cheap, safe and dictatorship free battery technology for our EVs and energy storage systems?

It may or may not be snake oil this time, but it has a dodgy history, so the question should be asked.

I recently made a contraption involving a rodin coil .
The part that was super frustrating is that most of the useful information is diluted by free energy or healing energy trash
I hate when real tech is used for marketing snakeoil products.
For example:

Why do people think that free energy is impossible?  :-//
Among the generators of free energy, not everything is fake or tricks.
I am sure that Kapanadze's devices work 100%. Don Smith's devices also worked.
Electricity is not what you think.
Inertia is not what you think.
That's the way it should be.

How about charging batteries?
We have an energy problem. There will be no electric cars and even gasoline.
