Since it took 3x more cable than the "limit" to start demonstrating muting from signal distortion, perhaps you need to define what YOU mean by "crappy".

You don't happen to sell botique, snake-oil cable, do you?   :-DD

If, like in the video, you're still using a 20 year old computer, audio cable probably isn't your only problem.  8)

I remember those cables more than 20 years ago and I didn't have to roll them up wrong for them to break.
They were in most shops and didn't seem to last long.
I didn't see much choice in those days and I didn't know any better.

I like that IBM keyboard with the touch pointer never seen one of those before other than on laptops.

Tons of (un)shielded single conductor cable... How many places are you going to use that with those connectors?

Exactly what he said they were for...direct amp to speaker connections. :palm:

EDIT: Also, again, it clearly doesn't bother digital audio, even with a crappy old ADC soundcard.

Ok, just for you two... It was a joke. You don't like it, that's fine.

I'd like someone to try substituting a digital audio cable with a wet string.

  • There's more value if you figure it out yourself!

Poor quality cable in digital installations will cause the bits to be ‘bent’, digital/binary doesn’t accommodate bent bits.
You probably need a pin ‘straightener’...
Don't ask a question if you aren't willing to listen to the answer.
