Yes, the Sion comes with a plantation of moss in your car.

(In German, us the translation service of choice)

Still in early prototype state, don't expect delivery for another 2 years.

(My comment: Or maybe rather "never"?)

OK, so maybe it's a good idea putting solar panels on the sides as well as the top. But moss in the aircon system?

And that plug-in lead on the front of the car looks suspiciously slender. Presumably the charge rate tops out at about 500W...?
Rubber bands bridge the gap between WD40 and duct tape.

It offers bi-directional charging, i.e. you could plug in your portable TV set or home into it. Maybe that's just a standard 220V connect in front of the car.
(I have one, too. Inside the car, though.)

Good news!
IPO for up to 184 million USD in the making.

https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1840416/000110465921135375/tm212911-10_f1a.htm#tPRSU

So at least they can now raise their wages and will still have some* (* a lot of) money left, when going down.

Sono needs another 200 million cash. After burning through prepayments and IPO money, that is...

(In German only, sorry) https://sonomotors.com/de/blog/ipo-sono-points-solar-range-the-eight-most-important-questions-and-answers-from-the-livestream/

This seems so much easier than robbing a bank!

Interesting. Find it strange they call it hässlich (ugly). There are so many more much uglier cars on the road. I'd rather call this design unconspicuous, or even unpretentious.

Whether the idea with the moss is any good, only time will tell. The trouble with living stuff is that it usually develops it's own idea where and in which shape and colour it will grow. Also, the intented usage might lead to it filter out dust, and shift the colour towards a truely ugly grey.

And that plug-in lead on the front of the car looks suspiciously slender. Presumably the charge rate tops out at about 500W...?

They claim to fully charge an empty battery in one hour. But of course it is always a healthy approach to stay suspicious of such numbers, like also the other numbers on that website.

Cheers  Peter

A few years ago an Italian company had a solar charging camper van covered in solar cells tuned out seven days in full sun would give you forty kilometres, hardly going to be much fun on holiday if you have to camp for a week or more every forty odd kilometres. I suspect the same will be for this car not many places in Europe have enough sun to reliably charge you vehicle just not enough surface area exposed at one time for a start.
