Title: A Guide to Switch from Eagle CAD V 7.x to V 8.x
Post by: YTusername on August 14, 2017, 07:51:17 pm
I wrote this guide for Eagle CAD users who are thinking about switching to Eagle version 8.x (I think there are many users still afraid to take this step). I tried to cover all points that can help you to make the decision or not.

Good reading:

I think you missed the point here. The main reason for most (professional) users not to switch to v8, is because of the new license
system. It has been discussed before in very long threads. The fact that you need to login and connect to the internet at least
once in 14 days is unacceptable for a lot of companies.
The only solution is to revert back to the old license system.

You're right. I already read a lot of discussions here and in Hackaday articles, but the purpose of this guide is to highlight what switching to V 8.x will take. The decision is up to the reader. I didn't try to encourage the readers to take any discussion.
