Most conservative design rules for absolute beginners?
« on: August 21, 2020, 08:58:52 am »
Does someone have a (link) for a design rule file for absolute beginners (first PCB so simple)?

Or which settings should I increase/decrease (and to which value) to detect or avoid/minimize production mistakes due to my own design mistakes?

Thanks

You can download the design rule file for eurocircuits board classes.
https://www.eurocircuits.com/eagle-dru-files/

Or look at sparkfun, they're active with eagle.

I wrote this instructable "a long time ago, now."  https://www.instructables.com/id/Make-hobbyist-PCBs-with-professional-CAD-tools-by-/It's all about setting the EAGLE design rules to better match up with home fabrication techniques.  I guess it's mostly obsolete now that it's so easy to get boards "professionally" fabbed at reasonable prices, and it uses a long-ago version of EAGLE.  But you might find it useful.
