Which library has SATA connectors?
« on: April 15, 2022, 08:37:44 am »
Trying to build my first pcb and need to use SATA connectors (both data and power). Any libraries available for commonly available sata connectors?

You did not mention the Eagle version you are using. My old 7.7 version has a SATA connector in the con-tyco standard library.

Certainly 360 must have retained a search function.  When I search on "serial ata" both the con-tyco and con-cypressindustries (sata7-32009-10x) devices come up with Eagle 7.2.

Have you tried: new schematic>add device>serial ata ?  Or, just look in those two libraries directly.

turns out that library is old and only has a female connector. I needed a male connector. So the big lesson here is if you need some kind of special rare connector or part check snapeda.com for it and download the symbol and footprint.

There is also Ultralibrarian (https://www.ultralibrarian.com/).

I occasionally check them, but always confirm with the datasheet.  Generally, however, I draw every device in my personal library.
