Vector graphics / TrueType fonts have always been a pain for me when using Altium.
In the weekend I converted an existing open source font (JetBrains Mono) in FontForge so that the bold and extrabold variety are offset at set distance from the regular font. This way I could make three layers (copper, outer copper, and solder mask) to make texts appear like a polygon flooded pad. More explainations on this recently posted github repo:

There are a lot of tuning to do (for example, letter "i" could not appear correctly in inverted extrabold variation), but would like to see some feedback.
Eventually I would like to make an improved font package that is similar to this:
