Vector graphics / TrueType fonts have always been a pain for me when using Altium.
In the weekend I converted an existing open source font (JetBrains Mono) in FontForge so that the bold and extrabold variety are offset at set distance from the regular font. This way I could make three layers (copper, outer copper, and solder mask) to make texts appear like a polygon flooded pad. More explainations on this recently posted github repo:

The work is not final yet, so if you decide to test it, I have to say thank you but take your own risk because there are still some unknown-unknowns. . There are a lot of tuning to do (for example, letter "i" could not appear correctly in inverted extrabold variation), but would like to see some feedback.

Eventually I would like to make an improved font package that is similar to this:

https://www.altium.com/documentation/altium-designer/including-barcodes-logos-pcb?version=20.0#:~:text=A%20font%20of,the%20latest%20posts.

So any suggestions for vector symbols to include in this font package? I am thinking diode, RoHS, UL, symbols will be useful.

Neat. I have never thought about using overlapping strings like that.
