A4 size single colour HPGL plot files wanted
« on: January 01, 2021, 10:23:43 am »
Anyone know where I could get some files like that? Just want some stuff that I can make my plotter draw to entertain the grandchildren with. The plotter going through it's paces being the entertainment, not the final drawing.

You could install Inkscape (free) and then draw or import whatever you want, then 'save as...' and there's a HPGL option.

If you install the GPIB Toolkit, there's a large corpus of HPGL files in the "Sample HPGL Files" folder that are used for regression testing on the 7470.EXE renderer.  This folder is created directly underneath the installation directory.

Most of them have at least two colors, but you can open them in a text editor and remove or edit any 'SP' opcodes (Select Pen) to fix that.
