Change the Behavior of Eagle Schematic Display?
« on: May 26, 2014, 03:23:44 pm »
Hi all. I've been using Eagle for years, and I enjoy it, but I'm looking for a way to improve the look of my schematics.

I get annoyed by the fact that Eagle does nothing when you cross two connections. Generally there is an alternate behavior when two connections cross each other. Usually one connection will be altered to look like it goes AROUND the other connection, see the following random schematic I pulled off of google. The crossed electrical connection is toward the upper center-right or the schematic.

Generally with Eagle you have to be careful when you cross connections so you don't confuse which connection goes where.

Is there a way to change eagle's behavior for crossed connections?

EDIT: Dang, didn't see the Eagle specific forum, if a mod sees this the can move it if they wish.

Eagle will add the "dot" at the intersection of two lines on the same net, and use the "crossed lines with no dot" style to represent lines on different nets.

If you want the "loop of wire that jumps up over the other net" style I don't know any way for Eagle to do this. Then again I never see professional schematics drawn in this way.

You can define a bridge component in the library and use in the schematic though it will be tedious to manage.

Change the track turn/curve mode from 90/45ยบ to a curve?
