allegro design variants assembly drawing
« on: July 27, 2019, 07:33:31 am »
Anyone use this function of Allegro? It keeps asking for a variants.lst file. According to the documentation this file is created by the HDL BOM tool, or by the CIS Part Manager.
Try as I might, no tool generates this file and when I do get a file with the right name, Allegro says it's not the right format.
What's the deal here?
Anyone can point me to a user guide (cisug.pdf didn't help me) or sample file that works?

I have not used this in anger as we don't use that at work for generating the drawings. However, I seem to recall if you open CIS part manager and look at the menu bar there is an entry for reports. I think it is in there.
