Allegro RF path length annoyance
« on: February 28, 2017, 02:06:24 am »
Many times I lay out RF paths with special features drawn as shapes, and the rest as clines... of course, now the "net" information only calculates the clines for the "total length".
This reports meaningless information when I want to compare, you know, length...

I have to mess around manually to get totals... Is there a property I can add to the shape so it adds length to the net? Or am I doing something wrong? Maybe I can just route a cline inside the shape to add to the total but I don't know if Allegro does something weird to these clines. I know that the cline can change the outline of the shape if I'm not careful.

I don't play around with RF so I can't help with the first part, but if you go into constraints manager you can set up minimum and maximum lengths. This will probably only work for the Clines though.
