Are you serious?
In 3 hours I basically had my whole design laid out. Never ever used it before.
It's just first going to your schematic, hit place component, or use the EELib on the left side.
Once you're done with that, you save the schematic, and convert it to PCB

For specific components I just look at the LCSC website, the vast majority has footprints.
These can also be found with place components.

We often need to create components.
With easyEDA, we cant seem to be able to make a library file on the computer, then put library components in it. This is necessary since we have a  dedicated library for each of our PCBs.

May I ask what components you're talking about?
The database with LCSC as well community database is so enormous that I haven't had any trouble finding 95% of the components I need.
Obviously EasyEDA's main focus is being an online EDA to more or less promote their PCB service as well as LCSC products.
So managing your whole own offline database is going to be tricky, that is just the nature of the beast.

I only don't really see what this has to do with you first question, being unable to route anything. :-//
