Cropping Gerbers????.....
« on: September 22, 2016, 07:27:14 am »
Is there any way to take the gerbers for a whole multi-layer board and crop one small section of all the layers out?  I need to show a section of a design to someone but don't want to give them the full gerbers set for the whole board.

If you can do it with Altium, that's perfect.  If not, what do you use?

What's wrong with screenshots?  ;D

Otherwise I'm sure this is something that could be done in CAM350, but that software is so convoluted that I can't really recommend it for a one-off usecase...

export Gerber. load gerber in camtastic. (part of altium) crop.

Save the screenshots with the gerber extension and then get them to open it with an image viewer  :D

Or use gerbv to select and delete the parts you don't want. Didn't I just answer this in another thread?.. :D
