Discovery AIM
« on: February 14, 2020, 03:46:03 am »
Hello,

I am having difficulties simulating the electromagnetic fields of an inductor in Discovery AIM (student version of ANSYS). When I attempt to build the physics model I get the following error:

Conduction Paths 1 is conditionally up-to-date.
1. Illegal external terminal 'Current 1': An external terminal must border the edge of the problem region and coincides with the surface of a 3D object.
Illegal external terminal 'Current 1': An external terminal must border the edge of the problem region and coincides with the surface of a 3D object.

I am putting a DC current through a bifilar coil by selecting the source and return option. Has anyone encountered this error before and would know where to go from it?

Thanks,
13
