Free color solder mask option at elecfreaks
« on: November 04, 2012, 07:04:50 pm »
Just recently I sent off another PCB order and found this interesting piece of information.

As of now they don't charge any extra fees for these colors: white, red, yellow, blue and green.

Hope you find this useful.

the service looks like the same as itead / seeed .
But more colors is better :P , now you can use the pcb as front panel like dave.

What are the turnaround time for those pcb and shipping to Germany (or anywhere else in europe) ?

Base price at elecfreaks is the same as iteadstudio or seeedstudio, but they offer 100% e-test for free as well. Iteadstudio have black as a color option.

They all use the same factory, so production time is the same. Shipping times to europe (including the inevitable customs delay) is about 3 weeks, unless you choose DHL. My last orders were all shipped with DHL, as I simply can't wait 3 or more weeks. Dead-time simply sucks.

Seems to have exact same options and pricing as itead/and seed, but good to know.

It would be exceptionally nice if they had some Europe-based office so that they could ship all the orders once a week to EU by bulk and then distribute around. I guess the biggest part of the waiting time is spent waiting for the transport on the airport in China.
I love the smell of FR4 in the morning!
