Header pin hole diameter

Hi All, I'm putting together my first PCB.

At one edge are some header pins. I've downloaded a number of datasheets but can seem to get a standardised hole diameter that would work well.

Does anyone have an opinion on a good generic hole size for these connectors?

If you mean the standard 2.54 mm (0.1") spaced pin header, seems that diameters range between 1 and 1.15 plus some tolerance.

So use whatever's standard above 1.1mm or so?

I use 0.9 for a loose fit and 0.8 for tight fit.

45 mils hole works well.

I use 40mil which is nominal I thinks.
