High Speed PCB Design Rules part 1
« on: February 04, 2019, 08:20:46 pm »
Hopefully I am not out of line by posting here but we are getting real good response to my post on Hackaday about high speed PCB design rules.  In the post and video I talk about how its not really the flow of electrons but rather EM fields, and that right angled corners really don't matter even in the gigahertz range depending on your trace width.  I also show how on a "standard" PCB that the impedance can change based on teh direction or interaction with the underlying glass weave.

Thanks all!

Of course you aren't out of line!

I don't think anybody on this forum thinks we have a monopoly on "good information" that "must be hoarded" in some way. We'll take information and help from wherever it comes :)
There are lies, damned lies, statistics - and ADC/DAC specs.
Glider pilot's aphorism: "there is no substitute for span". Retort: "There is a substitute: skill+imagination. But you can buy span".
