Hey all!
I am currently in my last year of my EE bachelors degree here in the US. My current plans are to continue onto graduate school, but in computer science instead of electrical engineering. I am still very interested in the hardware side of things and hope to be able to integrate the two disciplines successfully. The area that I am really interested in is embedded design. I have a couple project ideas that I would like to move forward with, however majority of my university classes have dealt with either analog electronics or low level processor design. While this will still be helpful I don't have much experience with connecting say a microcontroller to a PROM module. I have been very interested in PCB design and have watched several videos as well as read several articles regarding the subject. I have also spent numerous hours playing with Eagle and gEDA.
Long story short, I am looking for somebody that I can ask questions periodically, that can tell me when I am being an idiot, look over designs before I spend a ton of money to get the PCBs printed, bounce ideas off of, give me wisdom, and just get to know. I don't know if this is the place in which I can find said person, if not does anybody have any ideas where I could?
Thanks for your time!
