LTspice .mout file format
« on: March 18, 2023, 09:27:47 am »
In LTspice, a file of measurement commands can be run on the results of a simulation, without running the simulation again.  The text output goes into a .mout file.  For whatever reason, this is not truly a text file.  It has a null character between each two printing characters.

Most text editors ignore the nulls.  I've verified they are there, by estimating the size of the file, and it matches the Windows file size if the nulls are counted.

Does anyone know what this is about?  Is there a way to get LTspice to output a normal text file???
