Molex connector - Altium question
« on: June 14, 2014, 07:28:43 pm »
Hello

I need to either find or design the molex connector: 52435-2471 I was wondering if anyone has already designed this.

Thanks

It's very easy to make parts in Altium, this shouldn't take very long, why not give it a go?

Generally I would agree that marking parts is easy but the Datasheet given for this header is almost unreadable with very poor dimensions given.  If I have to end up making it from scratch I will but I was hoping to for go that and see if anyone already designed one.   I might be able to get away with a 0.5 pitch 24 pin FPC connector from the IPC connector library but I'm not entirely sure.

Thanks

The drawing seems pretty straightforward to me...

Maybe if you make the pads for the pins and then add the 3D model, you can draw the mechanical support pads around the ones on the model?
