Move LTSpice files to another drive ?
« on: March 29, 2020, 07:51:53 pm »
I have LTSpice installed on my c: and it simulations easily fill the partition. I looked in the settings file but I don't see how to choose where it stores files ? I don't want to just re-install because I don't remember where/how I installed the extra part models.

Just copy and paste your asc files to a new drive directory. LTSpice remembers the last directory you used between starts.
Leave the install lib directory in its original spot and every thing will just work.

The only thing you may have to do is change the path of any custom lib files you are using if you move them as well

Hi,

You can safely delete all the .raw files that have been generated by LTspice. These are the results from the simulations.

You can also use the

.save V(in) V(out) …

directive to reduce the amount of data that is saved in the first place. You specify which nodes you want to save.
