Osram SSL150 LEDs - zero soldermask expansion?
« on: August 30, 2016, 04:52:16 pm »
So I'm doing some project using SSL150s from Osram and I saw this in the datasheet while making a footprint library:

Obviously, zero clearance doesn't make sense, but what would you do?
It's gonna be mounted on an MCPCB.

I love the smell of FR4 in the morning!

You could draw as in datasheet, and your manufacturer will modifie it or you can check manufacturer requirement.

E.g. at Eurocircuits the space between pad and solder mask is 0,06mm and users data will be changed to this size by frontend preparation.
