P-CAD 2006 on Win7 64 bit

(1/1)

scopeman:
Anyone running P-CAD 2006 on 64 bit including CAMtastic?

mikeselectricstuff:
You may have better luck asking this on the yahoo group, which is reasonably active :
PCAD-EDA@yahoogroups.com

Hi Mike,

Solved it thanks to info on the Yahoo! group. It turns out that all you have to do is to delete all of the .manifest files!

Thanks for the tip!

Sam

From what I can tell, the only thing that really doesn't work on win7-64bit is macros.  Unfortunately that is a deal breaker for me as I have my layer macros for layout all set up and I'd go crazy without them.  I just run pcad in a winxp virtual machine when I have to use that computer.  It's funny that I can't convince anyone to upgrade to altium designer because they are scared off by the FPGA stuff.
