PADs standard questions
« on: July 06, 2021, 04:30:06 pm »
Hi,
When creating a symbol and you want to "enclose" the rectangular silkscreen top layer closely around the component...then how do you move the silkscreen line without it disappearing and becoming an extremely thin white line whilst you move it?
Also, what layer do you usually put the component courtyard on in PADs standard?
(as you know, the component courtyard  shows the maximum perimeter of the component so that you can avoid collisions.)

'Perfection' is the enemy of 'perfectly satisfactory'

One way is to press Alt+Enter to bring up the line properties.  Then type in x1,x2 and y1,y2 coordinates of the line to get it exactly where you want it.
