SMA antenna - how to "lock" the connector?
« on: February 13, 2019, 08:12:29 am »
Hi all,

We have an SMA antenna, where the pigtail/connector is attached to an aluminium end plate:

We currently experience that the screws fastening the connector easily go loose.
Any of you know of a simple solution to this - e.g. some SMA screw locks or similar?

Thanks a lot!
Martin

It's not uncommon for bulkhead RF connectors like this to have a lockwasher of appropriate size.   This would be on the nut side of the connector.

See https://www.showmecables.com/sma-female-bulkhead-connector-rg174-lmr-100-rg316 as an example
