[Solved] PCB nylon standoffs that have metal solder joints on top

I wanted to learn about these standoffs. I want to understand the advantages and disadvantages. I want to better understand when a PCB is the wrong solution to the electronics problem -- like it is for part of that meter. But when I search online, I just get articles and products about standoffs to keep the PCB off of the case.

Can you direct me to the correct keywords and/or articles?

Probably threaded ceramic, perhaps with a small screw inserted. A turreted one might be better. Newark do a selection, but you can find them all over the place:

More likely to be Teflon (PTFE) insulated in this application to achieve the lowest possibly leakage currents from sensitive circuit nodes.

Care must be taken with these type of insulators not to contaminate the insulator surface with oil, salts, etc from fingerprints and any flux residue must be be very carefully cleaned to optimise the long term insulation properties.
