This question might have been asked early, perhaps for number of times, but search didn't end up in catching one.  |O

so could somebody give me a suggestion for EDA software with powerful simulation. and PCB Design. :-//

I previously used multisim and it is good too.. but I find it difficult to work with ultiboard..

Have a look at Orcad PCB Designer Professional.

I have orcad tried before but I dunno it seemed really hard to learn so I dropped it!..  :--
now currently moved to Eagle and it is good except the manual routing really slows me down!! mainly becoz of the UI  :palm:.. for time being I will stick with Eaqle.. later I will move to Altium :-+

Thank you!

Im working for EAGLE for two years now and it works fine for me!
If I had problems, Cadsoft's on-site tutorials and Forums helped me out well - maybe it works for you too!

Ya..  Right now I am with Eagle too.. Initially I had problems with the UI which is significantly different from Multisim, Orcad but now it is much easier for me after getting used to it..

does eagle simulate?

nope!! I use multisim for simulation.. Eagle only does schematic capture, board design with auto route option, DRC

finding a "simulation+pcb design" eda in one package at hobby price is a "my wishful dream". even the paid diptrace outsources the simulation to the 3rd party. the only one eda i've seen that can do this is... Altium. the cheapest, apart from other peculiar names eda that cost millions.

Yes.. I too agree... Multisim with simulation in schematic is great too.. my next eda software is Altium but right now I am kind of stranded with Eagle due to my low spec computing machine..

Proteus (UK) has a pretty complete set of tools for all that sort of stuff. Have a look at labcenter.com
It's a very nice WYSIWYG interface
Hello <tap> <tap> .. is this thing on?

Is Altium cheaper than Orcad + PSpice?

Sorry but my  :bullshit: is going out off it scale.

You have the mean´s to buy software for 5000 / 6000 dollars but you cant afford a new (old) PC.

A intel dualcore with 4GB of ram will do ok for Altium so the slowest pc with x86 windows ... cheap ass PC

That question is almost so funny that it is not even funny  :-//
I have asked for a price here in Denmark. More than one time. They will NOT tell me / sell there product to me |O
It was for my self but they did keep asking that company i did work for. I told them it was for private use then i was told that they did not sell to a private person  :palm:

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be funny... here in the UK I believe the regular price for Orcad EE Designer, which includes Capture and PSpice, is £3995. I've no idea how much Altium sells for, it's not a tool I've ever been asked to use.

No need to be sorry. But i have a very hard time understand the Orcad /Altium companies. That do they try to hide ? The only thing i can guess is different prices in different countries like Embarcadero (Delphi). Why not put a big Buy NOW button on there pages ?

As for Altium 5495 dollars see https://www.eevblog.com/forum/altium/price-increase-coming/

If you want an easy to use EDA software, i suggest use Proteus Design Suite. You can also customized the software to remove functionality that you don't need to lower the price. Our company just recently inquire about it (level 3 design suite) and the price is around $2,500 dollars (without microcontroller simulation). There's an online quotation in their website that you can use..

Most of them don't sell to private individuals because they are afraid their software might be hacked..unless if you represent a company they can sue you... :box:
