Rectangular QFP's
« on: March 22, 2020, 07:48:41 pm »
Busy writing SW for a feature in one of our products (ASA100) and I'm wondering the following:

Rectangular QFP's? Is there a rule of thumb, or a JEDEC rule that says what the number of pins per side should be? So currently I have:

64 pin QFP - 19/13/19/13
80 pin QFP - 24/16/24/16
100 pin QFP - 30/20/30/20
128 pin QFP - 38/26/38/26

Any other rectangular parts you've come across?

At this stage I'm mostly interested in part you could actually get a test probe down onto.  So no BGA's, but you could get to the outside of QFN's I guess.

Looks like I might have to write a 'custom' package option.
