Trace "smoothing" tool

(1/1)

katzohki:
Years ago (2011ish?) I came across a tool that would take a gerber file set (or possibly Altium?) and it would take all your traces and change them from 45 degree routed stuff into very organic rounded routes. Now, I wouldn't argue for this being necessary, but it did make some NEAT looking boards.

Any idea what that might have been? Is it still around? Might be a long shot.

there's a plugin for kicad, https://github.com/mitxela/kicad-round-tracks

There is also TopoR router that can take source files in multiple formats and re-routes the board using freestyle curved lines. The boards look cool, but I don't see a point of a paid product for that.

You found it! That was the one for sure. Yeah, not much need for it, but haha it does make cool looking stuff. I believe there is a light and a trial versions!
Thanks!
