Video of making a 144-pin schematic symbol in Altium
« on: August 07, 2014, 11:51:02 pm »
I'm starting a design involving an FPGA, and I've figured that I'll capture the process of creating a 144-pin schematic and pcb symbols. I guess a good thing to post to anyone asking around for library for a 28-pin PIC...

I love the smell of FR4 in the morning!

I think it demonstrates quite nicely how ludicrous it is that users need to design their components at all, and also that it is not a trivial task -- with plenty of room for error -- even using the best SW out there.

Havent discovered paste from pdf yet ?
If the pins are in a table you can select them in pdf and simply paste them.

I copy & paste pins one by one. I have tried selecting entire table, but no luck so far. Any special option to do that?

EDIT: ok, found it :) Works nice :)

use smart paste!   I did a Spartan 6 in 256 pin package in 15 minutes!
