Waterproof PU leather bag - risk of static electricity damage to electronics?

Hi all,

We're considering to offer a leather bag (PU material) to help waterproof of our loggers at customer applications - cf. attached image.
However, we're a bit in doubt whether this type of leather material may cause static electricity damage to our data logger?

Would any of you have any experience on this?
