What is a PSS simulation?

For example, when I went to see how a comparator works over a given time frame... what is the PSS simulation showing me exactly??

I would expect PSS to be periodic steady state. It's related to Harmonic Balance simulations in that it focuses on oscillating structures, or narrow band signals.

It looks at repetitive situations (in a discrete simulation, if all your information at a certain timestep is the same as a number of timesteps ago, you've reached steady state in a sense).

The best part about magic is when it stops being magic and becomes science instead
