Why wouldn't Altium 23 allow me to make a 90 degree corner?

RedLion:
Hi all,

Pretty much the title.
I need to clear a square threaded block on the PCB as laid out by the Mech15 layer, I'd like to do it as tightly as possible.
I recently upgraded from Altium 17, where I would just drag it towards the "projected" 90deg corner, but now it just moves the trace after I get to a certain corner setback.
In the rules the setback is set to 0mm. I couldn't find another setting for this.

It’s likely your snap rules. There is likely some other point it’s snapping to, taking precedence.

RedLion:
It was not something regarding snapping, I suspected that and tried in single layer mode.
But I've just stumbled over the "glossing" options, which I don't remember AD17 having or at least not that I've seen.

After a quick glance at the documentation, it would seem this is all these "assisting" functionalities that I like to avoid - I like to walk into trouble face first.
I guess I'll have to play with this and see what does what.

Goes to show, once you know the word, it's easy to search for. The Altium Documentation is actually really good these days (unlike some others).

Just don’t fall into the trap of trying to outsmart the assistive features, which ends up making things worse. Just learn how to disable them when needed, but above all to configure them so they move things towards what you want, rather than away from it!

While knowing the right magic phrase helps immensely, I’ve been finding the Altium documentation to be getting worse, as they completely remove sections for some reason. Many features are currently undocumented entirely, others only in the archived documentation for older versions.  |O

T3sl4co1l:
Check the RoutingCorners rule, perhaps?

Also, are you rerouting it each time (P, T), dragging the corner, or either?  And, in interactive routing mode, you can cycle routing styles with CTRL+SPACE.
