Would it be worth it to learn Electric VLSI (GNU electric)
« on: December 28, 2016, 12:39:58 pm »
I'm already half way decent at using Kicad and LT Spice. Being a Linux user, I was checking the Debian software packages a few months ago and came across Gnu Electric VLSI. I have it installed and have played with it somewhat, but I am unsure if it would be worth the time and effort to devote to learning to use it(I work 40 hrs a week, go to school part time, and have 4 kids. Hence, why I don't have all the free time in the world ;). Are there any other GNU/fsf Pcb/cad packages available that anyone could recommend to me over (or alongside) any of the other aforementioned software?
