Looking for docs for Pico E-102 board.
« on: May 17, 2020, 06:28:51 am »
Hi, everyone!

May be anybody has any docs about the Pico E-102 board?

On the internet, I found only one document related to this board, but this is just a prospect.

Thank you, Regards!

You'll find the answer here: here.

There are lies, damned lies, statistics - and ADC/DAC specs.
Glider pilot's aphorism: "there is no substitute for span". Retort: "There is a substitute: skill+imagination. But you can buy span".

I've attached a copy of the hardware reference manual, which has pinouts and stuff, and I don't think was ever subject to an NDA. (I do also have a copy of the schematic, but it's subject to an NDA.)

We used these on a work project a while back, and they were mostly fine. The connectors are somewhat fragile though, and I think our most used ones failed after only like 20 mate/unmate cycles. The samtec QSH connectors are technically rated to 100 cycles, but I think that's really only under fairly ideal conditions.

I think Pico computing got bought my Micron, and it looks like the E-102 is completely discontinued/I can't even find the product page anymore. But it might be worth trying to email them for more information. Back in the day this was one of the few boards in its form factor with a Zynq and most components rated over the aerospace temperature range (I think everything except the micro-SD card connector).

Hi jklasdf

Thank you very much for the hardware reference manual!!!
Now, I can start to create the carrier board for experiments with this board.
It very sad that samtec QSH connector has a really around 20 cycles... this is bad because I just want to use this board for hobbies projects...

And the last question - do you have a JTAG connector pinout?

Thank you!

The JTAG pinout on J1 is:
1. gnd
3. tck
5. tdo
7. tms
9. tdi
11. 1.8V

The connector may be useful to more cycles under ideal mating/unmating conditions, but it's hard to separate from a daughterboard cleanly, without one or the other connector unmating first/unevenly.
