Thecus N4520 round 2, getting something modern to boot....

Hi all!
Continuing the struggle, got into this darn thing. Turns out the connector is really just a serial connection, all i needed is a pin-header -> db9 connector cable. Here is the bootlog with the original FW:

So the cpu as i mentioned is intel atom, 32 bit. I thought lets start with something simple and lightweight so debian it is. But it fails right after the board switches to the boot loader (no option to boot from usb):
