Pmod BLE Module with MCU
« on: November 03, 2023, 11:31:45 am »
Hello everyone! Does the Pmod BLE Module work with Arduino/MSP430 or any other MCU? If I need a bluetooth project involving an FPGA project on the one hand and a MCU on the other hand, is it possible to use two Pmod BLE Modules ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

do you mean the "Pmod BLE" by Digilent ?
That one is controlled via a uart, so almost any MCU can interface with that (any that has a HW UART or is able to implement a soft UART). If I am not mistaken that holds true for almost every arduino board. Just keep in mind that he Pmod BLE by Digilent is working with 3.3V logic. The MCU has to have this I/O voltage as well. Else you need a level shifter.

Yes, you can use multiple Pmod BLE Moduls in your project but they will appear with different MAC addresses.
You could also interface the MCU with the FPGA and ust only one as host with your Pmod BLE.
