FPGA implementation with Xilinx chips

hi every one, I am trying to learn FPGA implementation with Xilinx chips (entry level), can every one who has a lot experience before, please help me have more ideal.

what software,  what language, will need, and how to imply them into the Xilinx chips...

Please give me a big picture, so I can easily imagine what I need for the future/
