I have a collection of boards that have a Xilinx SpartanII X2S300E FPGA on them. I built a board that allows me to get to the device using JTAG, however, in IMPACT when I scan the JTAG chain it is reporting the devices as a Virtex XCV300e. I don't know whether this will be an issue going forward or whether it is a known none issue? I would have expected that these are quite different devices so misidentifying them would not be good karma.
Anyone got any ideas? Should I not worry about this? I note that strapped mode pins M0, M1 and M2 as reported by IMPACT match how the FPGA is strapped in the boards circuit diagram.
I've attached screen grabs of the device on the board and the output from impact.
NB. I believe 10.1 is the last version of ISE that supports Spartan II which I absolutely need to work with this board.
Thanks!
