I only ever tried FreeRTOS + LwIP, and unfortunately not more than minutes, perhaps an hour at a time. You see... a record only lasts about 1 hour max!

I think the crux will be to:
- never overflow the stream buffer
- have a steady Ethernet link.

In theory it should work for a long time, but who knows what memory buffers I might be slowly filling up before a crash.

I should probably look into FreeRTOS+TCP, but I have no idea how to link the TCP part with the STM32 hardware. thanks for the link, I will have a look.
