And now I can practically confirm that you can indeed move the license to another PC running Windows 10 if you set the MAC address to whatever it was on the old one. Just upgraded my 8+ years old rig to a brand new system with 5950X, and old licenses work just fine. New system does P&R more than 2 times faster than my old one (i7-3930K HEDT with 4-channel memory controller).

So, Linux Vivado is preffered to have the licenses "handling" covered, just in case?
I'm already grievously making peace with the looming windows 10 installation, had it coming for all the years  :-[ . So yeah, throwing another linux boot a the same time would do.

No need for a Linux if you don't want to. I did it in Windows 10. I edited my previous post to make it more clear.
