Another 2D CAD free alternative DoubleCad XT (Turbocad)
« on: November 24, 2019, 04:30:59 pm »
Hello Guys,
I believe I am not alone who occasionally needs a 2D-cad that can produce either DXF or DWG files. I grew up with Autocad and for this reason, I still use AutoCad 98LT (that I have license for)...
I was also a big fan of Draftsight but it is not free anymore (except the Linux version). A friend of mine showed DoubleCad XT v5 to me yesterday. So far I am surprised how good it is.
And now wait for the best part...

You will get the activation and license code through the email and you don't need any internet connection to install, activate, or use the software. Yes, it is a standalone license with no strings attached. Free for commercial use....

You can get it from here: https://www.turbocad.com/doublecad-download

PS: I have nothing to do with the company or the software. Just sharing with the community.

Drawback: Does not work under wine :-\

If it's indeed the same company, I remember using Turbocad a long time ago, and it was fine for my needs back then.
I'll definitely have a look.
