3,5" former HDD Adapter to Multi SSD?

(1/3) > >>

Lord of nothing:
Hi
I will buy maybe the good old HP Homeserver who have 4 Slots for 3,5" HDD. Since I dont need 3,5" HDD I could put some Flat inside.  :-+
I found this: https://www.delock.de/produkte/S_62554/merkmale.html good right?
Nope because the Sled who it slide in have a normal Sata Port and I cant route the Cable.
So I thought about this: https://www.delock.de/produkte/1087_mSATA/62480/merkmale.html
I could maybe (!) around so that the connector looking to the Case. The have "just" 2 Ports that mean 8x SSD.

Are there any 2,5" Adapter who I can put 2 SSD in and have 2 Sata Ports and 1 Power like this: https://www.delock.de/produkte/1087_mSATA/62480/merkmale.html ?
Maybe someone saw some from Ali or Ebay?

What I NOT(!) want is a with Raid because I put a but Raid Card in.

If I understand you, you have a HP 'Homeserver' which has tray or caddy mounted hard drives that plug into a backplane?

Why not just remove the backplane and run cables to one of the boards you linked to?

NiHaoMike:
Or just use 2.5" SSDs - much cheaper than M.2 and will perform just as well in that application.

2x N36L but I used them as an Client.
Now I think about buy the current G10 one the use them as a NAS and for Virtual Pcs.

Mine Yes the G10 have just Slots who I have to screw them in.  :palm:

The space will be so thinly that's not a god idea.

how can I use 2x of them in a Single 3,5 Slot?  :-//

2 2.5" SSDs will easily fit in the space taken up by a 3.5" HDD, with plenty of space left over for cooling. There are brackets for that purpose. I'm using a set of those in my PC - the case dates to well before SSDs in anything except embedded systems.
