It seems legit to me but it is the first time I am involved in something like this.

What do you think? Scam or not?

I bought a 4 GHz FX-8350 last February (Groundhog Day in fact) to upgrade the existing 3 GHz Phenom-II-X4-945 4-core unit in my Linux workstation. What is intriguing is that since installing it I have not experienced the "burst-of-speed" I had been anticipating, moving from 4-cores @ 3.0 GHz to 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz--the technical details in the complaint explain this.

I'm going to submit a claim and see what happens...

Sad but true.

I bought 2 Bulldozers. An 8150 and an 8350. Both times I knew exactly what I was getting into. Yeah, there was some handwavy stuff with regards to integer cores, schedulers and FPUs, but if you knew what you needed and that architecture scratched the itch then they were pretty damn good value.

At least with the progress of the new Zen based stuff AMD probably have some funds to pay the lawyers.
