Any *reliable* source of laptop batteries in Europe?
« on: December 12, 2022, 11:01:46 pm »
Hi,

My laptop battery has died some time ago. The type is A41N1501 with capacity of 48 Wh -- 4 cells of 3200 mAh. The original cell type is LGABE11865.

Got a replacement from accupro.be which is advertised as original laptop battery for ASUS with an ASUS logo and 48 Wh capacity. First thing I've done with it is opened to see what's inside. Guess what? Correct. Cells of 2600 mAh, attached. Contacted the seller, no sensible reply, no refund from the buggers.

Some time later found subtel.de and their subtel® Laptop replacement battery 48 Wh. Guess what? No, even worse. Cells of 2200 mAh and battery voltage of 0.5V, attached. Got refund this time.

So, I would be grateful if someone could recommend a reliable source of laptop batteries in Europe. Or a workshop somewhere in Belgium with cells of proven quality, a spot welder, and an smbus tool to reset the controller (BQ30Z55 for that matter).

Your ideas are welcome.
