History in pinned-on the taskbar programs

Hello,
    Running W10Pro all up to date. When a program that is pinned to the taskbar is right clicked, most show most frequent sites, history of files and other information that I do not wish to be there. Notepad for instance shows 11 of the last files I looked at or created with it. How can I disable these things?

On Windows 11 Pro now, but should be essentially the same AFAICR:
Open Settings, search for "recent".
It should find something along the lines of "Show recently opened items in Start, Jump Lists, and File Explorer".
You can then disable it.

EtA: Checked on a W10 Home machine, the item has a slightly different name, and can be found in "Start" page of Settings (searching for "recent" will bring it up)

    Worked as far as I can telll. Used the search for 'recent'. Maybe too old school, but I spend more time turning off new features, rather than using them

Yes it's a bit embarrassing when the list is
Filthy_porn.mpg
Hate_letter_to_boss.doc
Cheating_my_spouse.jpg

and so on...

It's called  know how to do a clean up  loll    browser history, document history   loll  and yes   change some options   before it's too late  loll
